Therefore, the objective of this and the next shipment is to bring a little light on the university librarian @. But first and foremost as a first step, we must define what it considers a Librarian: Library Science or Library?. And is that the profession has more substance than people believe apie.

Terms Library Library or can be considered synonyms often depending on the geographic area where they are used well in South America the most common term to refer to library science is library science, while in Spain the term most widely accepted is the Library.

The Library

Library The term derives from the Greek words Biblion (Book), theke (Cashier) and logos (word, verb). The definition is provided by Library first Sunday Buoncuore (1940) as "the systematic body of knowledge relating to books and the library." Thus, the Library would be a branch of library that would comprise, besides the first, Bibliology, Bibliotecnia, Bibliography and Bibliotecografía. Encompass all the sciences that study the book itself and libraries. In addition, the Library would be supported by ancillary disciplines such as palaeography, diplomatic, Philology and historical methodology.

The Library

The term Library of the words Biblion (Book), theke (Cashier) and nomos (rule). As indicated earlier, the Buoncuore Library located within the defined as the set of knowledge and expertise relating to the administration and organization of the library.

Of course Buoncuore definitions have been overtaken by time and the provision of new technologies causes arising within the Library to explore new areas of application of new procedures and techniques in libraries, which does not prevent this term maintained despite everything.

I'm tired of people who still wonder whether you need to study to become a librarian. It is the height that so far in India realize the importance of this, do not get to review because the number of Peruvians who read and the few that still read in our country, that is what they read?
