Knowledge management and journalists

Journalists are collecting and processing data and information. But what is the difference between data, information and knowledge? The simplest explanation involves an analogy. Consider the data as raw materials for journalists. The data are like apples from a tree. There are tons and is easy to count. The data are transformed into information when people use their hands and brain to process the apples into something useful: An apple pie, caramel apple ... But as information is processed, it becomes more abundant. In fact, the media continue convincing people that the product information is plentiful because they seem happy to give it away.     Umm, change "journalist" with "documentary", right?

    If we identify the data blocks, the information would prove such knowledge apple and prepare it or cook it.
    Furthermore I disagree with that journalists "They help us filter information without manipulated in either direction. You need only look at the headlines of major national circulation header to check.

    Well, the funny thing is that this text was used knowledge management referring to the journalists, if we changed documentary journalist could see the likeness between the two models. Journalists manage information, the documentary also.

    This mini-post was more a curiosity than anything else.

    On the credibility they may have or not journalists, well, I beat pulse.

    I like and agree on needs and opportunities. but marked differences in function and cover both professions pigeonholed synergies now essential.
    is not to replace but to multiply and understood between documentary and journalists, and many others.
    joint force is essential in the new scenario that you treat the blog regularly.
