Mozilla Firefox, if it existed would have to invent

Now that Firefox starts its way to its 3.0 version, now that the criticisms of the new Internet Explorer has happened, now I begin to use it (The Firefox we) in an intensive, time to dedicate a line to the alternative browser par excellence.

Mozilla Firefox has its antecedent in the Netscape suite, in 2002 some people start to believe that this software was too big, heavy and dependent on the needs of its original promoter (Netscape) as to jeopardize their future development. Thus, establishing an experimental branch of the Mozilla project which aims at removing all the features that were not typical of a browser software, optimizing the source code and its interface. After a series of problems with the product description (De mozilla / browser switched to Phoenix, to Firebird thereof), open source developers decided to baptize the new browser like Firefox.

The unknown always gives a little scary and users of Internet Explorer seem to have him fear precisely that, to change. I was always a little reluctant to switch to Firefox, not because I liked his philosophy, or because they followed the W3C standards that mark and that Microsoft does not follow, but simply because I found a program that gave me just what I needed. Essentially these were the lashes that Explorer did not incorporate until its recent version 7, but also the ability to block annoying pop-ups, another feature that Firefox gave us before, thanks to their add-ons, small programs that can incorporate based on the browser and improve their characteristics, such as blocking advertising, which I detest, and Flash animations (sorry but this is unnecessary because of its abuse).

I have said on more than one occasion I used Avant Browser as the default browser even though not a browser per se, since the engine used on the Explorer, but it was because I also enabled the pop-ups, hide advertising , the Flash and turn off the sound, so if something's worked well for what would change. But lo and behold, providing an opportunity to discover a number of Firefox add-ons that make precisely these functions along with some more:

  • Adblock Plus. Simply flooding blocked many websites advertising.
  • Flashblock. Block Flash animations but it gives us the opportunity to load with a single button.
  • IE Tab. A web page loaded wrong and is SQUARED? Probably be designed for Internet Explorer. This add-on allows us to use the engine of the Explorer within Firefox.
  • Download Status Bar. A very simple download manager.

But as I discovered I could open links in another window through the combination of CTRL + click the left mouse button, simply use I loved it. Personally, I hate to be bothered reading a text, but I like going to open the links I find interesting in it. Skip opening windows or tabs to read the texts recommended for a website is something I love to do then go for more information.

Finally, the Mozilla Firefox browser is free, free, multiplatform, its development is ongoing, the holes are patched with speed and its use is very simple. I would relieve me and give him a chance if you were worth.

Yes. Microsoft thought that nothing would overshadow explorer and went too long without developing any new feature. When you wanted to join the train has proved to be too late ...

Try to find the wheel or middle mouse button ... (without control) ;)

Or try and move the control click wheel ... and a thousand tricks xD

Good article and I agree with what you say, I recommend a test even those who do not know or have not used it yet. Greetings :)

Thanks for your advice. Hastrakan already knew that you mention, jejeje, but I'm very clumsy with the middle mouse button and just going, so I prefer to use the left button.

On increasing the font size, another thing I love about Firefox, I prefer to use the combination CTRL + the + or - button to increase or decrease. Sometimes comes in handy for not being blind.

    :-D

  5. Firefox seems [...] way to mark the beginning of my abandonment by the products of the company [...]
