Monograph: Libraries and Social Web

The magazine The Information Professional dedicated the March / April 2007 at the Web 2.0 in an attempt to bring this new concept of the Network at the library and information. When this issue was published in the blogosphere reactions were swift, and was defined as weak. The debate arose was exciting because many bloggers felt they had to participate by providing content rather than see them move from the sidelines.

The first attempt of approach can be considered as failed and, with this background, try again approach the Collaborative Web in a single year could be considered reckless. It is not true. José Antonio Merlo decided to take the bull by the horns and propose a monographic issue of the journal Education and Library to Web 2.0 from a single viewpoint and accessible.

A failure to have the copy in our hands, I think it will get it, first by the authors who participate in it (Note that I close the text number with a most modest) and secondly, the topics addressed. To get you started, we bring you the index and the number closed in September / October 2007:
